Arriving in Mannheim by train

Mannheim's main station is an important node for Germany┬┤s train service provider Deutsche Bahn AG. There are at least hourly connections to and from Mannheim to and from most major cities in Germany, e.g. there is a direct high-speed train (ICE) at least once an hour to and from Frankfurt airport that takes 30 minutes. Please check the timetable and fares online at www.bahn.de.

When leaving the station's main exit, cross the tram lines and turn left. Proceed along this street for three blocks until you reach a large glass-concrete building in block L7. This is the ZEW (Center for European Economic Research). Next to this building to the right is the economics department. The whole walk from the train station is around 500 meters.
