The Studierendenwerk Mannheim supplies information about possibilities for financial aid, student housing and other aspects about a course of study at the Universität Mannheim. Plus there is information about free time, cultural, travel, and sporting activities and much more. A free copy of the brochure can be picked up at several locations around campus, or it can be requested from the Studienbüro.

The Fachschaft of the Department of Economics (student organization) offers consultation for students by students. Their representatives organize introductory sessions especially for assisting students in designing the curriculum of their Bachelor programme.  Furthermore, the Fachschaft organizes information sessions and works in several different ways to integrate the interests of the students and the Faculty. The Fachschaft is a valuable resource for international students. Most importantly, you have direct contact with native students studying Economics who have an expressed interest in assisting their fellow colleagues. Like VISUM, the VWL Fachschaft also organizes cultural excursions that are great opportunities to interact socially with other students and learn more about the new culture in which you are living.
