Two Professorships (W3) in Labor Market Policy and Social Insurance joint with ZEW

The Department of Economics at the University of Mannheim and the Centre for European Economic Research (ZEW) in Mannheim jointly invite applications for two positions as 

Professor of Economics, Labor Market Policy (W3) and

Professor of Economics, Social Insurance (W3).

The job holders will be assigned to the Centre for European Economic Research immediately upon his/her appointment with a reduced teaching obligation of two credit hours per term.

We are looking for personalities with outstanding scientific qualifications in the fields of labor market policy or social insurance which strengthen the competencies of the institutions involved. The successful candidates are expected to do research and publish in their respective aforementioned field at ZEW. Furthermore, they will be primarily responsible for third-party fundraising and work on third-party funded projects. They should be able to manage a research team and must be fluent in German and English.

Applicants must fulfil the employment requirements of the Higher Education Act of the State of Baden-Wuerttemberg (§ 47 Landeshochschulgesetz Baden-Württemberg). Prerequisites for this position are a university degree, a doctoral degree, teaching skills and additional academic qualifications, i.e. a post-doctoral degree (habilitation) or an equivalent qualification obtained at a non-academic institution.
